1. Shahrukh Khan was an ordinary boy who would grow up to lead an extraordinary life

Born to middle-class parents of Muslim descent, Shah Rukh Khan was raised in a middle-class family. His father was an entrepreneur who owned a few businesses. The family could afford to rent apartments in New Delhi.

In comparison with the lives of the millions of destitute people in the city, Shahrukh Khan lived in relative luxury. At school, he stood out as a solid academic performer and a talented sportsman.
